We Try To Make Septic Inspections As Simple As Possible

Down to Earth Construction Services know that a large portion of the septic inspections that we conduct are for people who are selling their property. In the State of Massachusetts it is required that a property have had a septic system inspection within the last two years before transfer can take place (obviously only if they have an individual septic system servicing that property). So generally unless the owner is selling a very new home or has only purchased the home in the last two years a septic inspection is required. For more information see the Mass Gov Website

We know that selling property is not an easy time, generally, so we endeavour to make the process as simple as possible. We will schedule your septic system inspection at a time that suits your timetable, when possible, and will be punctual, professional and thorough. We will also do simple things such as when we are investigating your system any earth that we dig up we will put on a tarp to enable us to more simply clean up after our visit. We know that when you are selling your home you want the lawn to look its best. It is small actions such as these coupled with our excellent reputation that results in much of our business coming from referrals from Realtors themselves because they have worked with us in the past and are happy to refer us to their clients because they would like to work with us again. Today we are providing septic inspections for customers in Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Marlborough and Bellingham MA. If you require a septic system inspection or if you have questions about septic inspections please do contact our Norton office 508-622-5759 or visit Down to Earth Construction Services

Septic System Installation To Replace A Cesspool

Septic Preservation Services has a septic system Installation starting today in Franklin MA. We were contacted by a property owner who had recently inherited an older property with a failing cesspool which was processing the home’s wastewater. To enable them to easily and quickly sell the property for a good price they decided that it would be advantageous to replace the cesspool for a new, efficient septic system. A cesspool is a pit which acts as both a settling chamber for solids and a leaching system for liquids. A conventional septic system has a tank where solids can settle and begin to degrade, a distribution box, and a soil absorption system (SAS) that further treats the effluent by removing some of the bacteria, viruses, phosphorus, and nitrogen. We have the equipment and expertise to replace a cesspool with a septic system without having to rely upon subcontractors for equipment or operators. We can therefore ensure that all of the work is done to our own high standards. If you require a septic system installation, need to replace a cesspool or if you have any questions about septic systems or cesspools please do contact our Norton Office on 877-378-4279 or visit http://www.septicpreservation.com where we would be happy to help you.

You Should Not Have Septic Pumping Done Prior To A Septic Inspection

Septic Preservation Services knows that you should not have your septic system pumped prior to having a septic inspection. The State of Massachusetts requires as part of the inspection procedure that the inspector:

“Check pumping records for frequency of system pumping and verify that the system has not been pumped within two weeks prior to inspection.”

For more infomation see: https://www.mass.gov/guides/guidance-for-the-inspection-of-on-site-sewage-disposal-systems-0

Your septic system needs to be inspected under “normal use conditions” for a minimum of 2 weeks or more. If your system needs pumping we can arrange to have it done for you while the components of your system are exposed after the inspection. Today we have septic pumping scheduled in Berlin, Clinton, Bolton, Marlborough, Sterling, Stow and Maynard MA. Septic pumping is recommended to be done every 3-5 years depending on a variety of factors including the size of your septic tank and the water usage of the property. If you are unsure of have any questions about septic pumping or septic systems or if you want to schedule a septic pump out please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit http://www.septicpreservation.com
