Voluntary Assessments by Down to Earth Construction Services

Down to Earth Down to Earth Construction Services has septic inspections scheduled today in Acushnet, Rochester, Marion, Seekonk, Mattapoisett, Fairhaven, and Taunton, MA.  Most of the inspections that we do for customers are interconnected with a property sale, and the Inspection Form is submitted, in most cases, to the local Board of Health.  However, we also carry out voluntary inspections if requested by a customer.  Even if an inspection is not required, a system owner may have a voluntary assessment of the condition and operability of the system performed.  Results of voluntary inspections do not have to be submitted to the Board of Health or MassDEP.  If you wish to have a septic inspection done on your septic system or if you have any questions about septic inspections please do contact our office at 508-622-5759 or visit www.downtoearthconst.com

Title 5 Inspections with Down to Earth Construction

Down to Earth Down to Earth Construction Services have septic inspections today in Acushnet, Freetown, Rochester, Mattapoisett, Marion, Carver and Middleboro, MA.  If you are selling a property in Massachusetts with a septic system, you are likely to need a Title 5 Inspection to be carried out.  Inspections required in connection with a property transfer generally are good for two years.  If a property is sold more than once in the two-year period, the single inspection is valid for all transfers.  When a system is pumped on an annual basis and the pumping records are available, an inspection is valid for three years.  So unless you are selling within 2 years of buying the property or you have had it pumped annually you will need a Septic Inspection to be done before you can transfer Title. If you want to schedule a septic inspection or if you have any further questions please do contact our office at 508-622-5759 or visit www.downtoearthconst.com

Title 5 Septic Inspections

Down to Earth Down to Earth Construction Services have Title 5 Septic Inspections scheduled today in Swansea, Seekonk, Fall River, Marion, Mattapoisett, Acushnet, Dighton and Taunton, MA.  If you are selling a property with a septic system you are likely to need a septic inspection before you can transfer property title . However at this time of year if weather conditions prevent an inspection before a sale, Title 5 allows the inspection to be done up to six months afterwards, provided that the seller notifies the buyer in writing of the need to complete the inspection.  For more information see the Official Website of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

For this reason Down to Earth Construction Services would recommend if you are selling a property that is not on town sewer and has a septic system that you do the inspection at the start of your sale process.  Inspections required in connection with a property transfer generally are good for two years.  If a property is sold more than once in the two-year period, the single inspection is valid for all transfers.  When a system is pumped on an annual basis and the pumping records are available, an inspection is valid for three years.  Therefore, you are unlikely to need to redo the inspection if you have it done early and having the inspection done early could prevent any delays later on caused by unexpected events such as a snowstorm, which are always possible in Massachusetts in the winter.  If you need to schedule a Title 5 Septic Inspection or have any questions please do contact our office at 508-622-5759 or visit www.downtoearthconst.com
